Skye

The Isle of Skye - head up to Scotland and take a west, and carry on going.  You'll know you've hit Skye when you drive round a corner and have a near miss with a herd of sheep that are dozing on the road.  The rugged island is full of mountains and lakes and so many beautiful views, not to mention trails and trails of hiking paths.  Six hours to get to the Macleod's Maidens to get the sea and rocks at sunset - totally worth it!  I was lucky enough to go to the world renowned Three Chimneys restaurant (and wrote a review about it for ACHICA here).  Delicious. I would totally recommend Skye for a holiday - you'll come back fresh faced, not to mention stronger thighed from all that climbing!
