#WeTravel - Adelina

Adelina, Spain

"Bali was interesting.  There is a big cultural difference between people’s homes, which are very traditional in the structure and design, and their working lives in the city for big companies.  Houses in Bali are not just single units; they have many different areas, including a room to hold a temple or shrine, always filled with flowers. I’m an architect so one of the most interesting things for me to see are buildings and how people from around the world interact with them.

We usually try to get something decorative from each place as a souvenir.  We’ve bought a pair of Scottish woollen shoes here in Shetland for the little one we’re expecting.  I guess we’ll have to buy something warm made out of wool to take home too!"
