"I get up at 4am to walk the four hours from my village to the town to see whether there are any treks to lead.  If there are none I walk back.  Leading treks is only part time for me, I work in the forest collecting bamboo to sell in the local markets.  I’ve walked to the Thai border a number of times.  Lots of cows are sold over the border into Thailand because you can get more money for them there than if they’re sold in Myanmar."
