Climb any Mountain
Climb any Mountain is a wonderful charity that is transforming the living conditions of people with learning disabilities and mental illness in South Africa.
The charity have designed and will be building a Transitional Living Centre (TLC) in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa - a unique, purpose-built residential facility that will be a safe supported living space as well as aiding the development of social and life skills for people with learning disability and mental illness.
To help raise money for the cause, the charity put on a gala dinner and auction at the impressive and very *grand* Royal College of Surgeons in London, where 120 glam guests gathered to support the cause.
This was most definitely a 21st century auction – it took place via i-pads on the tables where guests could swipe through all the lots as well as a live auction fronted by super charismatic former English cricketer Ed Giddens. And there was lots and lots to be tempted by including a Rolling Stones signed guitar and signed Mohammed Ali boxing gloves! (*I am the greatest, I said that even before I knew I was.*)
A great evening enjoyed by all guests and most importantly raising an AMAZING £35,000 to help empower those who wouldn’t have the means to do so otherwise.
Here’s a few photos from the evening…
